Since we're sponsoring the competition, the only info that we're asking Wildfire to collect is your email address. Umm... you do realize that Dakkadakka.com uses cookies to keep you logged in right? But of course, feel free to take a pass . Nothing sinister going on here, but you don't have to believe me.

Did I say there was anything "sinister" going on anywhere in my response? No, I simply think people should be aware of what personal info they are giving away to companies via FB apps.
When you go to the FB app sign-up, it clearly states that the app requires to have the majority of your personal info. The above was taken directly from the app's privacy policy

When someone reads your post they are going to believe that you pointed it out because you believe that something "sinister" may be happening. In today's age of scams and spam people are always going to think the worst. Your posting these facts are going to be construed that you believe something "sinister" is happening. You do not need to actually prove anything for people to believe something is wrong. If you did not intend to imply a "sinister" intent then you should have explained that and maybe not have started your post with "BE AWARE".
That being said...i entered and hope that I win as I have never won any kind of contest in my life. Bring on the free minis!

The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.

@ ancientsociety
Actually, I totally agree with your warning, and I'm glad you put it up, if you didn't I would have.
@ Chern Ann
If, like you say, your company is sponsoring this, and you don't want anything more than an email address, I suggest you revist the page representing your offer on Facebook, it most certainly asks for a date of birth and other information, I for one do not feel comfortable giving out, and can see no justifiable reason why you would want it!!
In an age of internet scamming and in particular, identity theft, the risk of giving away such information on the "off chance" of winning some miniatures is insane.......PASS!

I'm with A.S. & Del on this one, unfortunately. Enigma has some sweet stuff, and it would be cool to get a shot at their models for free.

Date of birth is so that we make sure the entrants are 13 and over, some of the models in the line are not "G".

OK guys,
The 'warning' has been given for those who are concerned.
No need to post if you're not interested in the offer because of the small amount of personal information required to enter.

Honestly, your information is bought and sold buy companies all the time (seriously, there are companies that keep profiles of you right now, generally documenting what kind of consumer you are, what kinds of advertising you might be susceptible to, and what kind of products you might buy. Welcome to the internet age). I wouldn't be too worried about one more.
Anyway, I entered. I won't be too worried if someone sees what kind of porn I like.
