We all know its snowing on Macragge. That its hot on Baal. The eliptical orbit of Fenris and that Caliban has been destroyed.
But what about the more obscure homeworlds?
Is there any background fluff that has been lost in the vaults of GW that struck a chord with you?

As I build my Scythes of the Emperor battleforce, I'm constantly thinking about what shaped this chapter before it was nearly wiped out by Tyranids. Given the freedom to invent a backstory for your chapter gives way to rules adaptations and special characters. This is an opportunity to let your creative mind go to town.

So what obscure chapters exist out there? What are their battle doctrines? Do they follow certain versions of the Imperial Cult? Are they affiliated with other arms of the Imperium or other chapters even? What are their notable battles?

All praise the Omnissiah!

The Raven Guard chapter planet, Deliverance, is a barren, desolate moon where most folks live in bio domes or underground caverns.

Chogoris is a largely flat plains land where the White Scars ride around. Theres a large chuck of the planet that is iraddiated, I think, so people don't go there.

Nocturne, the Salamanders planet, is often thought of as covered in cracks of Laval and whatnot.

The Imperial Fists have no home planet, and instead go around the Galaxy in Phalanx, a giant space station.

Those are a few examples.

The salamanders are on the moon of nocture, where it's a little more stable for their chapter keep. Nocture itself undergoes massive plate tectonics every 5 years? when the moon travels extremely close to nocture.

That's all i know XD

I though Macragge was a temperate world?
I really like the Invaders fluff where they devastated an Eldar Craftworld but were devastated in return when their world was attacked by another Craftworld. So now they are a travelling chapter.

I know the Flesh Tearers planet is a step above Death world, and before the mortifactors planet was destroyed it was a planet in virtual night.

EDIT: apparently the Flesh Tearers planet is a death world

Here's the link to the Lexicanum page on the flesh tearer's homeworld. I think this is probably one of my favourite Astartes homeworld backgrounds. Compared to the founding chapters history it's okay, but it's background substantially larger than the majority of the other chapters.

Lexicanum still doesn't have much on all the other chapters, does anyone have any codex fluff?

I have to say I like the flesh tearers fluff, the only chapters fluff I llike more would have to be Space Wolves, and Dark Angels.
