Are you tired of playing with a plastic-grey or primer black army? Do you have an army that has been sitting on the bench for too long, not completely painted and finished the way you want it to be?

Here is your chance to cook yourself a completed army!

A couple of us have started The Basement Gamers Army Cook-Off 2011. This is a 10 month "program" to complete your army. Click here to read what it is about and join in if you want.

My blog will only be following the progress (or lack thereof) of four of us. However, anyone could join along and post your progress in the forums or your personal blog.

There is no scoring, no competition, no trophy at the end. The prize is you get a completely painted army. Sometimes we all just need some motivation to get out painting done. Hopefully this will provide that motivation.

I've been playing Warhammer 40,000 since 1988, and am just coming back from a bit of a 10-year hiatus. And please excuse any wild accusations, hallucinations, or outright factual errors, as I am recovering from a serious head injury. And Warhammer 40,000 is part of my therapy. OH YEAH!

We had something very similar to this over at SA this year. We had prizes and the like, but they weren't the point. This kinda thing worked like a charm for me and dozens of others, and I hope it does the same for you!

Check out my Youtube channel!
