Hey comrades,

I'm at a standstill. I just finished putting together my Black Reach set and i have no idea what to get next. I already have 1 five man combat squad, 6 man Dev squad, 1 land speeder typhoon, and One dread, Commander (crappy one at that), 5 man termy squad, and 10 man tact. squad. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd up the 5-man squad to 10 and get them a special/heavy weapon. Annnnd then maybe get some Rhinos for the Tacticals, a Land Raider for the Terminators and a Drop pod for the Dreadnought. That should keep you busy!

How do you want to play? What chapter are you using? What is your playing style? Ranged? Close-combat? Deep striking? These would all be helpful.

I want a tank heavy, range army and i play Ironhands. So Razorback would probaly be the best first?

A nifty little strategy, is utilizing stand-in's... AOBR stars alot of orks, which you can use for whatever you find interesting in the codex.
- That saves you alot of money from buying models, you'll since find out doesn't function well with the rest of the army!

If you're all lost, the Army List sections and the Articles sections are great (GREAT!) sources for getting a good basic idea of each unit.

Note, however, that JUST because the majority of the Army Lists, or the Articles claims that a certain unit isn't worth it's salt, doesn't always hold true. The right combination of models/units might just prove otherwise!

Happy hunting!

yeah, razorbacks. Only slightly more expansive than a rhino and it gives you enough parts to make a rhino or razorback. You can switch them from game to game and at differnt point levels too. I think that would be the next purchase and then on to specialist units that you like.

Like I said, tank heavy army with one or two landraiders, multiple Predators, Vindicators, and Whirlwinds, with some Razorbacks and Rhinos

dakka preds. at least 2 of em. the best 85 points you'll ever spend.

in all seriousness, they are the best (read point efficient) tank in the game.

Don't forget you only have 3 Heavy Support slots.

You're going to need an awful lot of points in Terminators if you want to have everything you got there (dedicated LandRaider transports). If you want a tank heavy army that works I'd suggest just taking Predators. Vindicators aren't the best choice imo for Space Marines, and are better off if you're Blood Angels, and Whirlwinds are just crap.

But i really want some artillery against my friends IG Manticore. But i could except a land raider instead.

Write up the list you want to play, and then play it using proxies before you buy anything. You will save alot of money and time buying the list you want, then if you randomly buy models and find out they don't fit your play-style.

And second, magnetize all vehicles. Their is seriously just no reason not to.

I'm not kidding, Whirlwinds are BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. They look really nice, and their stats look okay, but seriously, don't use it. You'll be VERY disappointed, even against Infantry-IG.
