Custom paint job of SW with 2 land randers, thunder wolves, termies, and others. Would it be better to sell the entire thing as one army or sell each thing individually? It is my brothers army and he painted them and such but can't ever win with them. He blames them not his strategy. either way. I am thinking at least $500 for the entire thing.
Any ideas?

Ebay take a percentage of your winnings for each auction, though. Try just posting pics on here first - with an asking price - and, after a while, if it doesn't sell, go to ebay.

Yea I would say that your best bet would be to not split them up and to try and sell them here first because of the reasons that Popsicle brought up.

Ebay AND Paypal take a percentage... (both owned by the ebay co.), so if you just use paypal, you can get away with only 1 part of the their business model.

my recommendation is that, even in a thread where you're just asking advice, you should post pics of the army. custom paint job may mean anything from "looks like a horse kicked some paint on the model accidentally" to "OMG that is the army of my dreams!!". there may also be different levels of quality within an army that is impossible to tell without seeing it. also, people's willingness to buy will be based on whether your custom scheme matches their own or whether it's so custom that it'll be instantly memorable. to recap, you need pics.
to answer your question, in general, you'll make more money overall by selling the pieces individually as there are more buyers interested in small chunks of armies to complement their own rather than starting a new one. selling to more buyers also means more hassle as you have to track/ship/pack/pad/etc that many more boxes. it's a trade off and that decision will be based on your personal preferences (mo' money, mo' problems!).
