I just want to know if my the Fluff for my Guard Army makes sense
The name:(still thinking about it but thinking something along the lines of "The 472nd Dust Hounds")
Background and history The Guard Army is stationed on a once sprawling planet(still thinking about the name) that fell victim to a series of Warp storms that resulted in bloody and deadly demonic incursions. The ensuing battles raged on for many years leaving the cities in complete ruin; the use of nuclear weapons by the Guardsmen only made things worst as the radiation mutated many people into horrid mutants, which were further corrupted by the warp storms; the ashes and dusts from the rage of the battle reduced the sky visibility considerably to point where perpetual darkness becomes apparent. Luckily the warp storms disappeared but Daemons and mutants still roam the surfaces making habitation dangerous so the remaining humans and guardsmen retreated into the mighty metro/subway systems(are there subway like systems in the Warhammer universe? if there isn't I'll say that its some old archaic subway system or mining facility with tracks from the early ages of human space travel during the initial stages of colonization) where the tunnels permeate a good portion of the planet.
Life in the Tunnels
The Guardsmen use the tunnels to travel around the planet; however, daemons and mutants still make their way into the tunnels, making tunnel travel a bit treacherous but not as dangerous as living on the surface. Some tunnels are restricted as various areas of the tunnel system were corrupted by chaos or overrun by mutants or both. Various stations in the tunnels with large spaces serve as homes for the Guardsmen and the civilians, who trade food and supplies with other stations.
Surface Outposts
Despite being driven mostly underground, The Guardsmen were able to establish many surface outposts with the help of the Grey Knights(if that doesn't make sense, then I'll change the chapter); these bases are on top of Tunnel Stations and are heavily fortified with the combined power of the Space Marines and the Guardsmen. The Outposts also serve as landing areas for the Imperial Navy and assembly lines for tanks and APCs.
The Army itself
Although my Guards army lives in a desolate world, the guardsmen are quite jovial and optimistic despite what they have gone through. Every Guardsmen have small melta bombs inside their bodies so that if they were to die and their body never reclaimed, the bomb would detonate in a contained explosion so that all body parts including the skull(1 less skull for the blood throne) would be destroyed so that Chaos Space Marines can't use them to decorate their corrupted Metal Boxes.
It kind of makes sense but there are a few things that are slightly off: If there are Grey Knight purging the planet an Inquisitor would most likely order the execution of any survivors, just to be safe. Melta bombs cost more than guardsmen (mainly 'cos guardsmen are really cheap), so having each guardsmen with a tiny meltabomb inside them is kinda off, though an organic bomb would work... The tunnels and stuff is fine though... kinda Metro 2033 feel to the entire thing.
