what i know about them is that they are good att CC and that is sort of it now. like i said in the start im looking for some army list so i know what to buy.
i get that 35p is the stander build in warmachine.

cryx are a classcannon type force. they can hand out a beating but once a solid hit is landed on their jacks they really start to fall apart fast.

your jacks are fast, hard to hit and hit hard, but sport low armor which reinforces their weakness to a solid hit.

i would say start with the battlebox, to get your head around arc nodes, and the BB caster Deneghra is REALLY good.

i started off with deneghra, but not the BB, i went with:

Deneghra
- Ripjaw
- Ripjaw
- Nightmare

this 15 pt list gives me heavy hitting power on multiple fronts, as well as 2 arc nodes for spell slinging. at 25 pts i added:

6 bane thrals
6 bile thralls

banes take care of armor, biles take care of troops. not optimal additions, but i like them.

play some smaller games to get your head around the rules.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

Do you want to start with small games and work your way up, or do you want to start at 35 pts and be overwhelmed with possibilities??

I would recommend starting at 15. The battlebox is a nice start and gives this army:
denny +5
- deathripper 4
- deathripper 4
- defiler 5
- slayer 6

This is 14 points. You can now go 2 ways. 1 is drop the defiler and get some mechanithralls (min) and a warwitch. The other is get some scrapthralls or a necrotech and start playing the game on a small scale. I would prefer the first option.

Once you have played a couple games upgrade to 25 with some banethralls (min), a skarllock and something to fill in the other 3 points. (max mechthralls and a necrotech or machinewraith are an option)

Then play a couple more games. Also get some casters at this point and see what you might need to go up to 35. After 10 or so games you will know what you want and what direction the armie will take. All figs used are standard and will be used later on. nothing is a wasted buy IMHO.

good luck and let us know how it goes...

thx for the feed back guys, well i was just woundering on how 35p lists looks so i sort of know where to go. but i will start small dont se the point of a overkill on my brian whit all the ruels and tactics that comes to a big list.

like 40k that im new to, i dont se the point at going in whit big list but it is good to se a lot of them so that you get a picture of how they work and how you can push the army.

any how big thx for the heads up, i found a guy that sold some stuff and i will try and get this things and build a small battelbox from it

Epic Asphyxious
Stalker x 4
leviathan
bane thralls
deathrippers
nightwretch

that is my plan for now.

Another caster to consider is pSkarre.

Something along the lines of:

pSkarre
10x Satyxis Raiders + UA
10x Bloodgorgers
General Slaughterborn
2x Harrower

Note - this isn't intended to be a tournament list - but it is solid and a PITA to deal with

Cryx has access to Nyss Hunters, Pistol Wraiths, Levi/Harrower, Reaper, etc, and Debuffs.

Cryx missing out on ranged options is an oversimplification.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
