Specifically, (because the original question sounds like it might be a little confused on this point) you don't roll dice just for Gets Hot!... you roll to hit as normal, and if you roll a 1 the weapon Gets Hot!.

So you roll a die for each shot, as you would when shooting any other weapon.

Unless that device is a blast weapon, in which case you DO roll a specific "gets hot!" dice.

Unless it's on a vehicle, in which case you don't roll for it at all.
