So perhaps you may have noticed and maybe not, but I have been posting a few topics as of late. I hope you'll bare with me. Anyways, the warcaster I have currently is eSorscha. At 15 points I'm running a Kodiaks, WGI at full size with a UA and a squad of widowmakers. It's fairly solid and I like it, but I'd also like to expand the list as well. What I came up with quickly is the following.

a)
Forward Kommander Sorscha (*6pts)
* Beast-09 (11pts)
* War dog (1pts)
Great Bears of Gallowswood (5pts)
Greylord Ternion (Leader and 2 Grunts) (4pts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts) (4pts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard (2pts)
Winter Guard Mortar Crew (Leader and Grunt) (3pts)
Eiryss, Angel of Retribution (3pts)
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich (2pts)

I know, I lack jacks and it's really been an odd problem for me. So I thought about it a bit more and thought I might as well consider the following list as well.

b)
Forward Kommander Sorscha (*6pts)
* Beast-09 (11pts)
* Kodiak (8pts)
Man-o-war Demolition Corps (Leader and 2 Grunts) (6pts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts) (4pts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard (2pts)
* 3 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeers (3pts)
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich (2pts)

Which list would you prefer? I tried the first one a few times and it's come to me that it requires quite a bit of finesse, or at least a different playstyle I'm not used to with my 15 points. The second seems...a bit more robust? I through in the demolition corps, but really Storm troopers would probably works as well. Anyways, obviously changes can be made, and if so could you please help me understand why? Some changes that come to mind immediately is perhaps fitting in a mortar crew in there, or perhaps not. The 20 inch range does seem rather intimidating, but it is always horribly inaccurate.

list A is more well rounded, so i would opt for it. if your running 2 jacks with eSorscha, you might want to look into a devestator, and bond it with eSorscha. an ARM 25 model that freezes anything within 2 inches of it at the end of their activation is really nice. especially considering it takes alot of resources to take down a devy, especially if you packing mechaniks.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

I like the idea of using the Devestator, but my only problem is that it costs a point more and I wouldn't really know what to drop. With the Devestator in the list I end up with something like this:

Points: 33
Forward Kommander Sorscha (*6pts)
* Beast-09 (11pts)
* Devastator (9pts)
Great Bears of Gallowswood (5pts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts) (4pts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard (2pts)
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich (2pts)

So Eiryiss is kind of pushed out of the list unfortunately.

For two points you can fit in:

War Dog and Rocketeer

OR

Widowmaker Marksman

OR

Minimum Mechaniks

OR

a Manhunter

Plenty of options for your list.

This might be a bit complex and I might not be understanding your tactics/style of play but, if you want to fit Eiryss in you may want to consider the following:
Drop the Great Bears and Devastator
Total saved 14 points plus 2 left over 16 points total

Pick up a Man o War Kovnik (3) and jack marshall him to a Beserker (6), the Widowmaker solo (2), Eiryss Mage Hunter (3) and, Kell Balloch (2) = 16 points

Assuming they all hit you then end up with a sniper unit (Widows + solo, Eiryss and, Kell) that can automatically deliver 10 points into a Jack/warbeast into whichever column(s) or branch(es) that you want to destroy (eEiryss would mean that you can only do 8 points). Marshalling the Beserker to the Man o War means that you don't need to spend Focus on him since if he's driven he will charge for free and boost his initial attacks for free, so you don't have to worry about him being unstable.

So your final list would be:
eSorcha (6)
*Beast 09 (11) bonded
Man o War Kovnik (3)
* Beserker (6)
Widowmakers 3+1 (4)
Widomaker Solo (2)
Winter Guard Infantry 9+1 (6)
*Officer and Standard (2)
Kovnik Jozef (2)
Eiryss Mage Hunter (3)
Kell Balloch (2)

Anyway, my 2 cents.

i like Koldun LOrd more then the Kovnik. Berserker is a dual wielding Jack. and the issue with Kivnik is he has a drive ability that may hose you if you fail a CMD check. the koldun lord has Power Booster. 1 focus to Target Jack without one. and it removes disruption. i run a Koldun Lord and Berserker in my army. unless im reading Jack marshal wrong. the first initial attack is their first attack?. tehrefore, with the koldun lord you can have 2 boosted attacks so that you can get a chance at the Head Butt Power Attack from his weapons. Koldun Lord is also 2 points compared to the 3 point MoW Kovnik.

The initial attack refers to the first attack with each hand, if available. Therefore the Beserker would boost both of its attacks and could then head butt (unboosted). The Kovnik also give the Beserker a free charge action (as do all jack marshalls) therefore you can charge and boost both attacks with no need for focus. Or, if you're all ready in melee then he can boost both attacks and 1 damage roll. Plus I think that the Man o War itself is worth the extra point over the Koldun Lord. That's just my opinion but it helps that you can take the Man O War and still stay in theme for eSorcha which is something that the OP usually tries to do.

If you have the points take both and marshal to the kovnik then PB with the lord. Just keep in mind that the zerk may blow up from this. Personally, I'm not a fan but if you want to do it, go for it.

The idea behind the Kovnik is that you don't need any focus to "power up" the Beserker. No focus use = no unstable rolls.

Yep. Was just clarifying a point for him. Like I said not a fan myself....

But compared to other jacks that could be afforded aren't there better jacks to use?

Not for 6 points. You could drop the kovnik and the zerk for a destroyer on the Koldun Lord. You generally want a zerk on the kovnik since there is no chance of a boom and he can basically run at full focus.
