Alright, so the unit is immobile, and cannot pivot without the help of a trojan. SO just out of curiosity, what is the firing arc of this gun? Is it only a straight line? 45 degrees? I'm curious is all.

Does the trojan even exist anymore?? Or is this an APOC question??? I dont see anything about an earthshaker or medusa in the codex about them not being on the chassis..... and I don't see anything in APOC or APOC reload about them, but if they are immobile, unless they are specifically stated as turret mounted, I would say 45 degrees, but I can't give absolute confirmation without seeing their rules.
Then again, I also remember reading somewhere that if it looks like they can hit it they can, provided your opponent agrees of course.

I see it now, and the rules actually answer your question....
"Immobile: Unless towed by an appropriate vehicle, an artillery piece may not move during the game, and may not pivot to face the enemy."
Sounds like basically a hull mounted flamer to me, so I would give my opponent a 45 degree arc, but other than that, he would be out of luck.
If the opponent wanted to argue it to the point that it annoyed me, I would look at him and say that it can only fire in a straight line.... but most people aren't that bad in friendly games

This is classic FW rule screw-ups. With the weapon not being defined as hull mounted you don't even have the 45 degrees of pivot, technically. It would be a reasonable compromise though. Basically, the towed artillery is pretty terrible. Fragile, limited in use and not priced to take that into account. Shame that they're such cool models. The earthshaker platforms in IA:Apoc1 are slightly better in that they can actually aim. Even worse though are the hydra and manticore platforms which are Type: Artillery but have no crew so they can't actually fire. (they should have been Type: Vehicle, Immobile...)

it is a vehicle and the weapon is mounted in such a way that it is not designed to be mobile; the first paragraph on page 59 of the BRB explains what to do(45* fire arc); defined as Hull mounted is not entirely necessary; you can derive the answer by looking at the model.
If the mount is not defined default to pintle mounted.
The general rule is mobile weapons fire directly in whatever arc they can move through, immobile weapons have a 45.
