Hey guys just played a game today and during an assault i thought to put my Sanguinary priest within 6 inches of both my assault marines and a team mates terminators, as far as i was concerned this would have given the termi's furious charge and feel no pain. I wasn't allowed but reading my codex it says friendly units within 6 inches get these two rules and as they are universal rules ie not chapter specific then i think the termi's should have gotten it.

thats really something you would have to talk over with your opponents as there is not a rule set for playing multiplayer games.

however in any multiplayer matches at my flgs we generally include instances such as that to happen just because it makes sense

It was disallowed due to the termi's being smurfs and not BA, but your right i was just wondering what people's opinion was on the rule.

There are no rules for team games in the main rules of the BRB. As such ANY time you play a team game like this you are in houserules territory

I would *always* disallow this type of effect, however, following the guidelines in the Apocalypse book.

It's a case of needing to establish house rules for team games. As Nos said, Apocalypse has some guidelines for it.

I've played in team tournaments which only allow one partner's stuff to affect his partner's if they're using the same codex. The idea behind this restriction is that partners mixing different codices can cover each other's weaknesses and build nasty complementary armies. So sharing rules helps a team using the same codex compete, and is fluffy.

I like it best when one army's rules don't affect another. You can come up with some really crazy stuff that was not intended otherwise. If the team is playing the same codex I think it's okay since that's how it was designed but even this should be evaluated first.

IF the two teams are not sharing an FOC then you can get some crazy stuff even with both using the same codex. Far better to keep the two armies completely separate (unless everyone likes coming up with the crazy combos!)
