 Was just looking on at apoolips data sheets on GW and noticed the LotD one. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1180084_Space_Marines_Datasheet_-_The_Legion_of_the_Damned.pdf so dose this mean that the termies have a 2+ invunrable save becouse in the codex they have the unyielding spectres spechal rule

No, I would say they don't as this is not the legion of the damned squad this is the legion of the damned battle formation. that is like saying that the imperial guard codex hydra has AA mounts and the apocalypse hydra has the anti skimmer rule. But yes please give it to them, I would love to bring this: a whole boxful of terminators with 2++.
Hopefully I haven't come across too harsh, but I couldn't think of another way to word it.

Doesn't the Unyielding Spectres rule state that they have a 3++ Invulnerable save? Well then there you go, your Termies have a 3++ save.

It says that their Ivun save is the same as the normal save so I see why they would have a 2++

It says their save is invuln. Not that their invuln save is the same as an armor save. The way I read it, they don't get an armor save.. just invulns.

IIRC, that data sheet is from before the latest codex with the current iteration of the LotD in it, hence the confusion.

According to the rules, of how units are chosen for the formation and whatnot. You're picking a normal terminator squad, and giving it the special rules for the formation. You'd also be picking normal tactical squads as well. Nothing in the formation would have the special rules for the regular legion of the damned unit, other than the rules that get added on via the formation card.
