I can't stop thinking about 40k! Even when i'm not painting, playing, modelling or lurking on dakka i'm day dreaming about 40k! I'll be at work just picturing what a lighting claw terminater would look like after fighting in close combat or picturing my chapter master running along shooting some csm faces off before barging into a cursed rhino and flipping it on its roof! These "visions" i'll call them are always vivid and detailed and I just can't stop lol.

Does anyone else suffer as I do or do I just need mental help

To an extent. I sometimes relate 40k to things. It's the geek part of your brain taking over.

I don't have random day dreams of 40k, but whenever i walk round the house, or am i shops i seem to always look for things i could use as scenery. For example i nearly bourght a Bonsai tree to use.
Also even when i'm console gaming, i think you know what, these guys remind me of the tau, or i could make a sm army like this.

Im with you m8. when i go to bed every night the last thing i think about is always 40k.

I also have a very large amount of dreams about 40k for some strange reason

but yeh I can totally sympathise with you on this, even when I'm in the middle of tests at school 40k and my SM's are swimming through my mind, its some very contageous disease

............... but a good one at that.

I tend to list build in my head a lot when on the bus or walking to class. I never really imagine painting (aside from running schemes through my head), or epic battles. That happens when I'm in the game

It's a gift not a curse! I do the same, often with painting techniques i'm going to use so i know how it'll look when i'm done! or when i'm drifting off to sleep i'll be fantasing (not like that you cretins) of battles and armour!

I used to know EVERYTHING that happened in the football (real football, not fake American football

) world, i was checking the news sites every 10 seconds, but kinda thought that was a bit OTT as i grew up a bit more.....

But even now, with 40k and Football, i do spend a lot of time thinking about them, planning, dreaming etc

When you spend a lot of your time on something, it only makes sense to think about it a lot. 40k is my primary hobby, so I daydream about it pretty often. Gives me something to think about while I'm walking to class or whatever.

I've had a bunch! I started a Dark Angels army a couple years back because I had a dream that my Ultramarines and my Dark Angels were fighting on a jungle table in my living room. They were asking me for support because they were getting pounded.

When I first started playing I lived and breathed it. I worked on my models on week days and played games on Saturday and Sunday.

I have visions of awesome things too. I just wish I could put them into a short film or on paper, but I have not creative talent to do that.

That is why I call it a curse my friend. If only there was some machine that could transmit my thoughts into a movie, It would make Avartar look as poor as "insert really poor film here"
