I know most people prefer shoota boys in horde lists like this, I feel that the extra cc attack, coupled with the crappiness of ork shooting merits the use of slugga boys.

On the right track but still a little off. Some things to consider:

At 1500 you will need more kans and less lootas per unit

Lootas are really effective but they suffer from serious leadership issues so running them in units of 5 or 15 is really the best way to go.

I think you would be better off by making 3 units of 30 boys with a nob with PK and BP

Drop the PK's on the meks and the BP and get more kans.

Personally I like shoota boys in my mobs because they can weaken your enemy units before getting into CC, but that's up to you. 5 kans isn't really a kan wall at 1500pts.

Get 9 kans all with rokkits or do one unit with grotzookas if you want to diversify. hope this helps. You are on the right track for sure just need some fine tuning.

I tend to agree with skycapt, 9 kans is the way to go i think, i ran my kanwall with 6 rokkit kans and 3 grotzooka kans and never had too many troubles.

9 4+ cover save kans giving 4+ cover saves to the boys behind them can be tough to thin down before they reach your opponent.

Maybe try 2 and 2 for the sluuga boys and the shoota boys, that way you have some shooting while you march up the table and still have your sluggas to charge at the nastier units you find.

Well.. I only have 3 kans now... I was planning on proxying the other two and I dislike doing that, even in friendly games. I am currently saving empty paint pots and toying around with a few kan designs (Thinkin about making one look like a whiskey 'still with drunken, hillybilly grots all over it) Thanks for you input. As soon as I get a hold of a decent camera I'll upload pics.

Why wouldn't you give the meks a PK? Granted, 50 points is a rokkit kan or 8-and-a-third boys, even at the point cost, do they not make 2 of your boyz units much more dangerous? 2 PK wielding models?

He's not missing his second troop requirement, but it's hard to read.
25 slugga boyz, pk nob x4
Which I assume means he has four troop slots filled.

Put your Lootas in groups of 15 to avoid LD issues (Like said above)

And lastly, MOAR KANS! If you aren't going to run 9 at 1500 points, then you can't even call it a Kan Wall.

Maybe more of a "Kan Partition" right now.

Now... when you're marching your boyz up the board, I assume you want all your kans to shoot (instead of running), which means... the boyz ought not run during the shooting phase? Haven't tried a kan-big-mek list yet.

the kan wall can only work with a minimum of 6 killa kans, but you should really try out grotzookas

my army has 9 killa kans all with grotzookas thats 18 str6 Ap5 3" blast with that kind of fire power you can pop most apc's

rhinos, razorbacks, chimeras(they hate side shots). raiders, ravagers and trukks are all open-topped so all hits count as 2 hits.

on infantry well i don't really need too go into this. genestealers, gaunts, boyz, guardmen, kroot, fire warriors, demons and all eldar hate this kind of shooting.
noted inflicts instand death on swarms actually any toughness 3 model

on a side note you big mek makes the kan wall work period. you needs to fear the vindicare assassin

I'll change one (two?) of the units to grotzookas against nids n orks in the like. I'd like to keep at least one unit with the s8 rokkits for obvious reasons.

Just got back from the hobby store with a second blackreach (my roommate plays marines, he wanted to buy it, and I always could use a few more boyz) I'm gonna turn the WB into a big mek w/ kff with some GI Joe bits I have.
