Varying cities in the North

Hi there, I am really stuck in naming my Space Marine successor chapter. They are a successor of the ultramarines (simply for the fluff and perfect gene seed), and i am following Roman themes, in the fact that characters have those sort of names (Julius, Cassius etc), and the company system; and therefore i was thinking of '........... Legion' or something similar, because of the Roman Legions. I am using the forgeworld mark III 'iron' armour
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-Accessories/MK-III-IRON-ARMOUR.html
and phobos pattern bolters,
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-Accessories/SPACE-MARINE-BOLTER-PHOBOS-PATTERN-X10.html
so they aren't exactly with the times, so to speak. My captain is the forgeworld open day model 2011, as he is awesome and sort of inspired the whole army! They are painted mainly gold (non-metallic metals) with red shoulder pads, and possibly other details picked out in red. The chapter symbol is that of the Praetors of Orpheus,
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440338a&prodId=prod1570002
as they are relatively unknown and have a small ultramarines symbol and a shield, making the symbol perfect for my army.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Maybe the 'Emperor's Legion'? The forgeworld model for the captain is cool, so it will definitely work well!

Centurion legion.

Centurion's are the guys with the big shields and heavily armored, so it fits the armor mark you're using.

Either the Centurion Legion (As Mr Nobody said) or the Iron Legion.

I do like centurion legion, but I was thinking about changing my captain to a centurion (as the both command 100 men) like in the SW codex a captain is effectively there, just called a wolf lord if you get what I mean?? Same rules, just different name.

Yes... Emperor's legion smells a bit too strongly of cheese and cliche if you ask me, but iron legion could be a decent call, or possibly something to do with Ultramarines?...

or you could go the "latin translation" route and go with "Legio Ferrum(?)"

that way you get your Iron armour connection and a Roman Legion connection

Hmmm... These names are sounding great!! Legio Ferrum is probably my favourite, with all the links to the fluff (a big factor with any of my armies) thanks for all the suggestions, didn't expect this many replies!!

If the chapter was founded around a cadre of UM veterans it might be named in honor of the old vizened captain that helped train the core of new marines to get the chapter started. Sons of Sulla? Praetors of Cornelius?

Or maybe for their homeworld? Legio "Invictus" Astra Minor?

The leader of a centurion unit is called a Kentarch.

No, A centurion leads 100 men, hence Centurion, as in century or centenary.

4th section of the legionary ranks, under Subaltern Officers. Obviously states they are centurions, occasionally called 'Ordinarius'
