Hi all,

When striking the rune of wrath and ruin on the anvil of doom (regardless of ancient power or normal power) does it still slow down the targeted unit even if it has not inflicted any wounds? There are no clear rules about that so I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Greetings

The slow down is not linked to the unit getting wounded, they are separate affects.

That was my personal thougt as well but it seemed a bit ... weird. That's why I asked this

Another question on the anvil of doom (more specific the runelord that takes the anvil along): How does a single character with killing blow interact when fighting the anvil? Say he rolled a 6, and both guards are yet alive. Who exactly gets killed then? A guard or the Runelord?

Greetings,

The runelord is now part of a warmachine crew, and you can't Killing Blow warmachines, so he becomes immune to Killing Blow.

Edit for spelling...

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

I'm at work so I don't have my rules with me but I'll double check when I get home. I'm pretty sure I remember it being FAQ'd that a warmachine can be killing blowed. I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 90% sure. I'll check when I get home.

Heroic Killing Blow should work. Not killing blow.

Q: If a war machine is attacked by a model with the Heroic Killing
Blow special rule, and the attacker rolls a 6 to wound, are all
remaining wounds on the war machine lost? (p72)
A: Yes.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”
