I think you have 7 troops choices, are you operating on two org charts?
Tech Priests aren't worth it, by and large.

Yes, you do have 7 troops choices which is odd. Currently, some of your units are a bit confusing:
What is the role of the CCS? One meltagun, a medic, an advisor?
Techpriests are just awful compared to buying more guns/tanks/men.
Those psykers would benefit greatly from a chimera.
Plasma pistols, doctrines, are superfluous on any squad in a chimera. 3 special weapons is all you need.
I would go for a chimera over forward sentries. Stealth is only useful against shooting, not against assault or flamers, whereas chimeras are good all the time.
Sniper rifles are the worst special weapon.
Heavy stubbers aren't a very good use of points, dozer blades are great to have a few of, but aren't needed on every single transport.
Basically, IG in chimeras are one of the strongest units in the game, but you're making it more complicated than it needs to be. If you really want the army to be as hard as possible, choose from the following:
HQ: CCS with 4 special weapons, chimera
Troops: Veterans with 3 special weapons, chimera
Fast Attack: Vendettas (hellhounds also nice)
Heavy Support: Leman russes, manticores, hydras, whatever.
Elites: whatever you like, psykers are good.
At 3000 points, basically take 2 mechanised HQ squads, 6 mech troop squads, with no upgrades but max special weapons. (a few dozer blades actually) Then take 3 HS vehicles and 3 FA vehicles. Then buy some elites, then any upgrades.

First I got to ask where and when you are going to find a competitive game at 3000 pts, is it for a special tournament. Or just pick up games. Tournaments are for crushing your opponents, pickups are for having fun J
Ok lets get started, if you are going to play full mech list make it all mech. One of the strengths with mech is that you shut down all your opponents anti troop fire, thus pulling parts of there list out of the game altogether. So load up everything in a chimera.
If you put everything in a chimera you wont need a lot of upgrades, there just pointless. For ex: Voxcasters, you will be making few orders, you wont be getting shot out to pin you, and if you get in cc you want to run away. Any armor upgrade or survival upgrade will be use very rarely so drop the armors, doctrines and medics. If you don’t have much in reserves don’t spend the points on an astropath. As for the MoO, he is fun but if you are looking for competitive drop him. He never hits what you are shooting at and it shuts down 4 vet special weapons from maneuvering.
Techpriest, not as good as it sounds in a mech list. It cant keep up and you cant load it in a transport, loose it.
Unless you are moving in to apoc rules you can only take 6 vet units. PP are short range and a bit of a point sink. Meta and plasma is the way to go, load them up as thick as you can. As I said before, drop everything you have out side a chimera. And snipers aren’t that good to begin with. If you want a gun platform put some AC or las cannons in one of your plasma vet units. And have them watch your flanks. (but you wont need them with the vendettas).
I like vendettas and hellhounds, but at high points vendettas are a must.
Whoops, back to the elites. PBS are crazy good, if you are playing 2500 or over you must have 3 of them. But load them in a chimera. Like I said get all your stuff in a transport.
Heavy support; Exe is a great chose if you have the points to spend. You can roll out 3 LR for heavies. But you can get more bang for your buck with manticore ot arty squads.
But any mech’a’vet player can tell you it’s the mass of vehicles that has the power. Accuracy in quantity not quality. @3000point you should have about 17 vehicles in your list.

yeah, i wasn't really looking through my codex as i was making this list, i have most of the points and stuff memorized. What i'm hearing is that i should drop one of the sniper squads, and then change the other one to a plasma squad.
Personally, i like the demolitions doctrine, because if the vets don't blow up a vehicle by shooting at it, they will by assaulting it, but i can understand dropping forward sentries and grenadiers doctrine.
The techpriest i like because it can repair both of my LRBTs, and possibly my executioners if they stay back
The PBS and CCS i prefer to keep back in cover and not have running around in chimeras, and it usually works for me, but i should spring for an additional chimera for the other plasma squad
