So I'm placing an order for some DKoK tomorrow, and I've decided on painting them to be the 5th siege regiment. The problem is, I really do stink when comes to planning how to do a paint scheme! So could any of you Dakkaites help me get a list of paints to do it? Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming GW paints? Some paints that you can't go wrong with when painting Death Korps: Scorched Brown (protip: it's also known as burnt umber when doing your washes!), Graveyard earth, Adeptus Battlegrey, Codex Grey, Fortress Grey, Charadon Granite, Vomit Brown.

I think Adeptus battlegrey coats with codex/fortress grey highlights comes pretty close to what you get, since a guy I play quite often has painted his krieg that way. I've also heard good things about shadow grey as the base coat, but I can't vouch for it since i've never seen it used on Krieg in reality.

Looking at the picture in the seige of vraks part one of the 5th regiment, I would say that for pants, you would want to get Charadon Granite to basecoat the greatcoat and pants, then perhapse wash with baabab black, and highlight with either a mix of the basecolor and a lighter grey like fortress grey, or try codex grey.

For the gloves, chaos black,with a faint highlight of charadon granite could work.

The helmet and shoulder pads, looks like again chaos black, then adding scratches and digs of boltgun metal, washed with baabab black.

Boots/legwraps/ammo belt/webbing/gasmask all look like kommando kahki wish two light washs of sepia or ogryn flesh. Or you could try a color like Desert Yellow, with the same sort of wash, highlighting as needed with the original color. The buttons on the coat might also work as this color, unless you want something different.

The rebreather hose looks to be boltgun metal, wash with baabab black once or twice. And then the lenses look like if you base coat them blood red, then highlight the center of them blazing orange, and gloss coat, finished.

Not a problem at all! That was the scheme i had been thinking of using myself before i decided to go with a winter camo instead on my krieg. Alwase happy to help out other korpsmen

Yeah actually my plan was winter, but then I decided it should be a nuclear winter on krieg hehehe, like there would be mud and snow on bases and boots etc. Have you posted any of your kriegsmen?
