As a Kan Wall player, here are some suggestions:

1) Check your math. Your boys should be 245 a squad, your dreads are 115 points a pop. This totals to 720. I think your problem is you don't realize that you upgrade a boy to a nob, not buy the nob as an additional model. This frees up 12 points. I would take the 12 and invest in two boss poles.

2) Drop the additional DCCW on the Dreads and add another Rokkit instead. You either want your Dreads running all the time to get into CC, which is when you would use a DCCW/Skorcha, or staying with your army core, in which case they can be shooting. This frees up 10 points.

3) If you're running shoota boyz, which I highly recommend with a Kan Wall, then drop the Rokkits for Big Shootas. Rokkits are Anti Tank while both Shootas and Big Shootas are Anti Infantry. You don't want to create target confusion. The 36" range also gives your boys more reach when they're behind the Kan Wall. This frees up 30 points.

4) Drop the Meks and go all Lootas. Split your Lootas into two squads of 5. This allows you to shoot at two different targets a turn, as well as gives you the ability to spread out your lootas thus providing more fire lanes.

5) Use your freed up 40 points and buy a unit of Grots. This gives you another scoring unit, and they can hang back in capture and control or sieze ground missions and camp one or even two objectives. This frees your boys to move forward.

Wow, thanks. That's all around better (and I already have some big shoota boys). Grot's will be fun and I'm already planning on doing no mekboys.

What do you think about 1 CC dread (CCW and skorch) and 1 2 rokkit dread?

I like Rokkits in boyz mobs. With all the mech running around the more rokkits the better imo. If the boyz can pop some transports on the way to them the better the assualt. Heck, mine of shot down stormravens / valkyries before.

Here is my Kan/ Dred Wall like which I love.

HQ
Big mek w/ KFF, Cybork, PK = 120
Big Mek w/ KFF, Cybork, Burna = 115

ELITES:

TROOPS
30 Shoota Boyz w/ 3x Rokkits, nob w/ PK, BP = 250
30 Shoota Boyz w/ 3x Rokkits, nob w/ PK, BP = 250
12 Grots, 1 Runtherd = 49
11 Grots, 1 Runtherd = 46
Deff Dread w/ 2x Rokkits, Armor Plates = 105
Deff Dread w/ 2x Mega Blastas, Armor Plates = 115

FAST:
DeffKopta w/ twin rokkits, buzzsaw = 70

HEAVY:
3 Kans w/ 3x Rokkits = 150
3 Kans w/ 3x Grotzookas = 135
Deff Dread / 2x Big Shootas, Armor Plates = 95

Total = 1500

Oh snap very similar to my list

How's that KMB on the deff dread working? I'm reluctant to put anything but skorchas or bshootas on it due to BS2.
Also, PK on big mek?

The problem with running rokkits in the boyz mobs is that you lose all that shooting when you fire the rokkits at tanks.

Str 4 shoota wont even glance anything above AV10

Go big shootas in the mob, and rokkits on the kans.

^^ i use pk on big meks when i have the points for them, the tectic is when you try to do a multiassault and catch a vehicle in on it you can throw the big mek in the side assault if you play it right, sometimes it works sometimes its a waste, btu usualy worth the points if you have it

Ya, but when you face an all mech list with out a single model on foot the big shootas are more useless than the rokkits. Remember if you pop a transport you can assualt what falls out. Adding big shootas to shoota boyz just gives them more anti infantry, which orks have in abumdance already. What Orks lask is anti armor. So you have to bring as much as you can. An all mech IG list with 6+ chimeras, you want as many rokkits as you can get your nubby green fingers on.

@terranarc : My Mega Blasta Dred does well. Unless he get popped first turn, he normally pops a vechiles or two as he advances. Also he draws fire from my Kans. I dont like skorchas on the dreds. Again Orks have TONS of anti infantry, why add more ? So I go with 2 range on all the dreds. If they get shaken, they run other wise they are shooting. I built a double big shootas Dred just to have a 95 point deff dred lol.

I'm not a fan of it, but run it and see how it works for you. A nice thing about the Deff Dread kit is that the weapons are VERY easy to magnetize. I did that with mine, so I can play with different options.
