Every Ork Lootas and Burnas box has a big mek in it.
It's a plain big mek, with KMB option.
Do any of you ever actually take that in one of your units?
I can never see a reason to do so without upgrading to SAG or KFF.

Its not a Big mek, it's a Mek. Big difference. I always thought that if you took lootas you could take 3 meks for big shootas as guaranteed shots but otherwise, I wouldn't use them.

That's actually what I meant.
Just used to saying "big" mek, because that's all I ever use.

I use a Big Mek occasionally as a bosspole/KMB dude with my Lootas. He's got the same statline as a Nob so I figure it's appropriate. He also usually sits right in front of my looted boomgun wagon, so it can't drive away and he can repair it.

And that, my friends, is how I blow a lot of points on non-competitive choices.

I just use the model as an extra loota.
