Someone told me recently that GW has gone on stating that they're not releasing 6th edition until EVERY codex gets updated for 5th. If that's true, then we're not seeing 6th edition for at least a few more years at the earliest at their current pace of 2-3 dex updates per year.

And I would say that 5th came out earlier that it should have, since 4th was considered sub-par (by some people). So I would say its normally 5 to 6 years between them.

It's something that's been spread for years, and with Dark Eldar, Daemonhunters, and next Witchhunters all getting/gotten updates, it seems increasingly likely.

I'm ok with my 4th ed ork codex lets jsut make orks the first 6th edition so there's no issues of game version translation like the kff obscured debate mmkay... I'd hate to get a new codex and then 6th edition come out 6 months later and have to argue on how thier rules work.... again

I think the Ork codex is safe. I've always taken that "all dexes updated by 6th" as "all 3rd ed/early 4th ed dexes brought up to speed" since otherwise we'd be waiting for Dark Angels, Eldar, Orks, and Chaos Marines in addition to Sisters, Necrons, and Tau.

And Black Templars.

I've never actually seen a black templars army, they seemed cool and the models are nice, but as I've been playing less than a year I believe I've played every arrmy except them... I hope they get a new dex so somebody will take intrest and I can pit my orks against em one day
