Do fast vehicles and skimmers get a cover save when moving at cruising speed or flat out and if so do you take the save after your opponent has rolled to hit or when they penetrate?

Fast Vehicles, Fast Skimmers or simply Skimmers gain a 4+ cover save (count as obscured) when moving Flat Out. However if damaged at this speed
any results of immobilized are treated as destroeyd/wreck. The cover save is rolled after your opponent has succeed a glancing/penetrating hit

I agree with pantso. Also, when a skimmer moves flat out, all penetrating hits count as glancing.

Slight correction, only skimmers can get the cover save for moving flat out. Non-skimmer Fast vehicle (Ork Trukks, BA Rhinos, etc) do not get the Flat Out cover save.

Where is this in the rules? I can't find it anywhere.

Yeah I can't find that either, looks like an old 4th edition rule maybe? Makes more sense with the 4th ed damage tables.

It was a 4th ed rule, called Skimmers Moving Fast! and applied to all speeds over 12"

Nothing like it exists in 5th. Nothing

No. Please consult your rulebook.

Turbo-Boosters is a USR possessed by Bikes and Jetbikes.

Skimmers Moving Fast is sort-of-similar, but a totally separate rule.
