Hey guys

As is almost always the case, this is the opening and obligatory explanatory post so that you guys understand what I'm babbling about.

Essentially I've been an avid wargamer for years, but as I live very poorly as a uni student, my financial position is, like many others, not strong enough to support my hobby. Living in Australia makes life particularly difficult. Exceptionally expensive Games Workshop prices (Space Marine Tac squad costs $69 AUD for those who arent aware and to give you a decent idea of what I'm on about) and exceptionally long wait times (not to mention many still unresolved issues) from international shipping companies such as Maelstrom.com and Waylandgames.com are just some of the issues I've dealt with.

To get away from all of this dreariness and crap, I wanted to find a way to make my hobby support itself so I could still enjoy myself on those days where I get time off uni or just feel like painting.

Enter odd project concept.

I came up with the concept of '12 tanks in 12 months' as a loose term with my good friend from Blacksun Art Studio one evening. I decided to draw on one of the silliest things most people have heard, but certainly one of the most impressive. I decided to take freehand to a level seldom taken by many painters these days. I wanted to freehand entire Warhammer 40k vehicles. Yes it's been done before, but I wanted to make art in a way that most people haven't seen it and through a no-tricks medium that intimidates a great many of us.
So, in a nutshell, 12 tanks in 12 months is my personal project of taking 12 Warhammer 40k vehicles and freehanding designs over the vehicle to produce things that many people have never seen before. I have high aspirations and my hobby to lose I guess.
My idea was to sell each vehicle upon completion to fund the next one. Ergo; if a vehicle didn't sell - I have to leave my hobby because I can't afford it. Pretty good motivation to do a good job and to push myself

Fast forward a few months.

So I finally saved enough money (yeah it's that tight) to purchase a rhino from wayland games and have it sent over to Australia. I painted the rhino up in a sepia-like tone with a Japanese dragon stretching over the entire piece.

If you want to see what it looks like, check out my youtube channel for a quick vid on what the tank looks like;

Anyways, as you can see, thats the first tank completed.
It is currently up for sale at;
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260780088464&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_744wt_1141
(To mods; Yes I understand this may seem like an advertisement, but its relevant and will not be spammed)

I already have a bit of interest, so I'm confident that I can continue with my project!

As such, I guess this is where I implore you (who certainly deserves a high five if you've read this far) to make a contribution!
Leave a post (or comment on the video) with a paint theme you would like to theme (ie japanese dragon, graffiti etc etc) and a Warhammer 40k vehicle you'd like to see it on! I already have a pretty good list of different vehicles and themes linked up, but the more I get, the better the overall success of the project could be!

So thank you again, if you've made it this far, for reading and following.
If the thread receives sufficient interest, I'll keep people up to date and post concept art etc.

Let me know what you think!
Thanks guys!
~Ghost
