Right after going through so many price increases and seeing so many complaints I have finnaly reached the end of my the line with all these complaints.

My problem is not the people actually talking about gw and the price increases. My problem is with the people who go off and rant about how they are quiting buying gw products. Seriously if you are quiting why can't you just quit ? Who the cares ? A forum about price increase should not be about people ranting about how mad they are, that is not discussing the price increase, that is ranting.

What is even more annoying is when someone rants that they are quiting and then a few days later you see the guy who was ranting he was quiting infront of 2 land raiders or somthing that he has just bought after he said he was quitting if you quit keep at it.

It has got to the point that I seriously think that the looking through everybody ranting to find someone talking logiacaly about the price increase is as annoying as having to pay more. This happens every price increase and everybody says they have gone to far this time and then several months later they are excited about a new codex.

For everyone else who just gets on with it well done, leave a comment and tell us what do you think of the rants and moans ?

BY THE WAY I see the irony of moaning about moaning but after so many price increase and seeing the exact same reaction it gets boring after a while.

Normally they are justifiable, yours is terrible.

A lot of people are upset, that's what I think. Look at the threads, they grew quickly there's a lot of concern.

Perhaps another price increase, coupled with a decline in quality, in the eyes of many, to resin gives many a legitimate reason to be upset.

Most of the boycott GW comments are like this:

"Starting today I am quitting drugs and alcohol... well not beer, beer is ok, but all drugs and liquor. Smoking a joint is ok, that is not a real drug... starting today I am quitting hard drugs and liquor... and I am going to make a difference in the war on drugs and fix my health! Yeah! rationalization!"

I always enjoy how people are going to harm GW financially but the people will still buy GW models and play GW games.

Ok I changed the orignal post. I see that people are upset with the price increase but do they really need to moan about it. Asfter so many price increases we are all used to the reaction, Maybe Gw would listen to complaints if they were not just people saying how much they hate gw.

He has a point right there. Same as the people who cry when gasoline goes up on monday, but get to the weekend and they go "cruise" saturday night.

Overall OPs post is in the same vein as the ones hes complaining about, but he does have a point.

Moonshine has a point (but a small one)! The price increases have shocked me and was the original reason why I left the hobby over 10 years ago (so I suppose moonshine would be happy with me!!!). I think people should refuse to buy anything from GW for a short period of time - I know this is very hard but shopper power is massively powerful. I agree with not going on a 'I hate GW' rant, but people are p***ed off and have a right to rant.

But they won't. They never do. They want their cake and to eat it too. They make lots of worthless gestures then rationalize how their exception to a true boycott harms GW, but it doesn't and then nothing changes.

They whine and make entitled statements like buying models gives them stock purchase power of the company or how GW 'owes' them something when the truth is GW owes us nothing more than the box of plastic we purchase and our transaction is done at that point.

Trolling GW's facebook does nothing, and people who are addicted to GW's product who can't or won't vote with their wallet will just whine about how the product they will still purchase costs too much and GW runs a bad business model... but obviously still good enough to get their money!

Oh, buying nothing for a month then buying double next month is not a boycott either I would have hoped people learned that the last 3 price increases where people were like "OMFG boycott! for a whole month!"

Not to give away any secrets of mine, but I've never bought anything from GW except two washes and a paintbrush. I always buy stuff from Dakka members or ebay.
I got about 10k points eldar, 3k points CSM, 8k points Tyranids, 3k points Tau, and unfortunately about 500 points of random SM roaming around. This... is how I roll.
So personally I have nothing to complain about since I got my stuff for about 50% retail. I would NEVER pay retail for these things as I think they're way overpriced and another price hike would make me moan as well if that's how I acquired mine. IMHO the moaning is warranted. Moaning back in return certainly won't help!

LOL, and you think somehow you are hurting the beast. Another worthless rationalization. Just because you bought it second-hand doesn't mean GW is hurting as the product still left thier warehouse for full retail price even if you didn't pay it. And buying secondhand from a dakka member just gave them more money to feed the beast. Your supposed harmful boycott does nothing.

You actually have to stop buying the drug to kill the addiction. The only way GW hurts is if product sits on the shelf in their store unsold.

Umm, I'm not under the impression that I'm hurting GW and I don't plan to. My goal is to save myself money. Fact: I am saving money. I'm not boycotting them per say, it's just that if I can get the same product for cheaper elsewhere, then I will. Fact: I can get the same product cheaper elsewhere, so I am.

I doubt people will ever stop buying. Let the moaning resume I say--there isn't really anything wrong with it! I work in an office and all I hear is complaining so it's nothing new to me. Welcome to life.

I had typed out a reasoned response to you, I then deleted it as you 'aren't getting it' and I'm past trying to explain why people feel as pissed off as they do about this, here instead is an image to reflect my general feeling towards what you have written and suggested.

People can be mad they have a right to do so but after so long the whole "lets boycote gw" thing is getting old

If something's not right people arent just going to accept it, no matter how long it last's.

Ill join the rant's about GW because it is such a shame to see a great hobby go down the pan. With enough constant complaining, maybe just maybe, one day in the far future GW will acknowledge all of these complaint's, and do something about it.

There seems to be more discord this time than usual.

The price increases are accumulative. Its not as simple as whining every year from every price adjustment.
In other words for every moan you hear , know this:

Half of them are complaints about price increase , the other half are actually people that have been priced out of warhammer itself.

Which one are you right now? and how many years worth of price % increase can you endure before you too , meet your threshold?
