Just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a Salamander based campaign, because I'm just really not creative!

You kinda need an enemy...
Lets say for example... Orks.
The Salamanders are cleansing the Orbis system of the Ork menace. They have 3 companies of Astartes as well as support from the 1st company.

The first 3 battles are kill-team missions to destroy:
1)Enemy anti-air stations. These anti-air installations need to be destroyed so our brothers can land safely.

2)Enemy Communication systems (rudimentry though they be) Oi! We need to gard dese talky wotsists so we can talk wiv da over boyz when does oomiez come back for dere planet!

3)An Ork monument that is the symbol of power for the local Ork Warlord. This monument to our enemies strength will be annhialated just like he will.

The 4th battle is a planetstrike battle (1500 points for argument)

No matter if the enemy emplacements were destroyed or not. The Salamanders need to land.

If 1) was won by the SM player he gets his full force of 1500 points. If the Ork player won the SM player can only have 1300 points. Our brothers haven't managed to land safely, some were killed and others were forced to land elsewhere. Press on brothers!

If 2) was won by the SM player then the Ork player can only choose 1300 points of Orks. If the Ork player won then he can choose 1500 points. Oi! Sum of da boyz didn't get da message dat does armoured oomiez have rocked up!

If 3) was won by the SM player then the local Ork warlord has lost control of some of his more rebelious elements, choose 500 points of Orks to be controlled by a third party, these Orks can only be from the HQ and Troops section and may not choose vehicles. If 3) was won by the Ork player the local Warlord has retained full control of his forces and put them to work upgrading his vehicles, each Ork vehicle gets an upgrade of 15 points or less for free. Oi! Wot you boyz doin! Go fix dat trukk up good an proper! Wat do ya meen no!

The 5th battle:
If the Ork player won 4) then he can take an additional 500 points. Additionally if the Ork player also managed to kill all of the the rebelious group from 4) he can again take 1 vehicle upgrade per vehicle of 15 points or less for free.
If the SM player won 4) he can take take an additional 500 points of Heavy Support only. If the SM player also managed to win 3) the rebelious Orks weren't all killed during 4) another larger group of Orks arrive. This group is 750 points and may choose from Hq, Troops and Heavy support but may not choose vehicles. We must consolidate our position brothers! Push the Orks back so we can establish a safe landing ground!

5/b: Only happens if 3) was won by the SM player.
Orks against Orks.
The Ork player must wipe out the rebelious Orks from 4) and 5)
The rebelious Orks get whoever survived from both 4) and 5) (If any or if there were any at all) and also get an additional 1000 points.
The Ork player gets 2000 points.
Awrght i iz gonna go wipe deeze gitz out fer good

6th battle:
A normal battle but both players can choose an additional 250 points to be spent on Fast Attack only.
Oi! Dose oomiez are movin suppliez do dere forward base! get em!

7th battle:
Battle specific FOC:1 HQ 2 Fast Attack mandatory. 2 extra Fast Attack slots. Troops are not Mandatory and FA coutns as Scoring for this battle.
We have picked up an Ork scouting part. Kill them and do you own scouting whilst you're there.

8th battle:
As many points as you can both field whilst keeping the sides equal.
No FOC.
Kill points.
Each army chooses a commander, it must be a HQ choise. If this commander dies during the battle he counts as 2 kill points.
This is it brothers! If we kill this beast then we have won this war!

There we go...
Of course you may not have an Ork player willing to play this...
In which case you could change it fairly easily...

Thanks! That is an awesome campaign idea and I think I will use that because I have a friend who plays Orks so it works very well!

Glad you enjoy it...
Some bits might be a touch strange or over powered so feel free to change anything.

Wondering Why the Emperor Left

hi, me and a few buddies did a campaign a short campaign a while back. they both played Chaos against my SM and an IG player. we assaulted a renegade stronghold on the edge of The Maelstrom as part of our back story but it can be changed to cater for any army i suppose.

We played two or three Planetstrike games first, each with different objectives, to decide what bonuses each player had in the next round of the story. We assaulted a defensive laser on the ground, an airbase and a fuel facility. these also determined whether or not the loyalists had created a beachhead and so as long as you win one, you can go onto the next game.

the next game was an Apocalypse game as the forces of Chaos quickly move to assault the loyalists. If the chaos player held the airbase, he recieved captured valkyries that performed bombing runs. if the chaos player held the defensive laser, the loyalists were unable to deep-strike(bar teleporting). if the fuelling station was lost we made up a random house rule that meant the tanks could break down and stall thus adding an element of randomness.

If the Loyalists won, we created a mission where they pursued the remaining chaos player back to the ruins of his city and tried to kill/capture their HQ. this was a cityfight mission with as much terrain as possible where the enemy HQ was the objective and he started closer to the Loyalists to represent him on the run still as he tries to escape the planet via a shuttle. If the forces of chaos won the Apoc game then we had a special scenario where the loyalists are surrounded and are attempting to eithe escape off a table edge or are simply going to try and take as many traitorous gits down with them. it was a lot of fun!!

i realise its pretty simple but with a decent back story we quickly got into it.

That sounds pretty good actually, I have a friend who plays Chaos aswell, so I could use it the same way.
