these surely are very nice, but with units composed of indywidual models (like in vassal 40k games) it would look ultra awesome, and it would be easier to follow casualties. I know the amount of work would be far greater, bu effect would be also

that was fun to watch- but wouldn't the orks pick up the victory regardless of killing the CSM- they had the back objective and contested the CSM objective

Very novel idea although I was hoping for vassal infantry being there as well. Cool overall. The first game though I was surprised at two tank buster units and chaos spawn

I never really get this I have always thought that Tank Busters were one of the most effective things in the Ork army. Admittedly I have only played two games with them, but why no love for them? What should I take instead?

As for the games themselves, what did i do wrong tactically? How can I improve for my next game on Sunday Vs the Dark Eldar

On the last turn as i saw in comments, you should have disembarked the boys. they could have got lucky roles taken down the terminators leaving your vehicles to shoot the other guy and just maybe pulling ahead and winning the game!

Also if they are playing lilith destroyer her as soon as possible and make it as hard as you can for her to reach you lines. you may outnumber her but she is weapon skill frikin 9!!!

Thats some pretty good advice can't believe I didn't think of it!

Anyway as for the Battle Report itself what improvements would you like to see for next time. Most people want more detailed army lists, but is there anything else i should change?

I am allways sceptical when seeing batreps without photos, because I think the miniatures are the most interesting thing to see.

I absolutely LOVED them. Easy to follow, exciting, very balanced battles and I love the way both of them end - it´s a great idea to "zoom in" at the end, it really builds up tension, and then ends in this kind of anticlimatic humerous notes that literally speak for themselves.

I also like that you don´t use harsh cuts. I think it´s sometimes very hard to follow a batrep when a unit standing at place A is suddenly standing at place B in the next picture. It takes time to re-orientate yourself, especially when there are more than one unit moved at the same time. You solved the problem by actually have them move in a visible way.

Well I'm really glad you liked them. Do you have any tips for face the Dark Eldar? I have never faced them before and I have no idea what I should be looking out for. I'll be playing them this Sunday so any advice would be much appreciated

to the OP generally you use lootas for your anti armor, as they do not suffer from the glory hogs rule.

Are you honestly not hearing any music? Both clips have music on them, is anyone able to hear it? They both work fine on my PC

Really cool batreps. I'm glad I'm seeing more variety in Batreps than "Here's the army list, here's what happened each turn", with people turning them into narratives, or animating them. Nice use of Tankbustas, by the way. I like your tactic of using the Deffrollas to try and take out the vehicles first, so that your Bustas can then concentrate on the troops.

I did notice two things in that last batrep, though. First off, did you actually roll two 1's in a row for Dangerous Terrain on that Deffrolla battlewagon? They can reroll with those, you know...

And second- in that one turn, where everyone was unloading on the tac marines with their guns- those two boyz squads, if they shot the Tac marines, even if they wiped them, could not have assaulted the Termies. Just wanted to let you know.

Next time I would spell out mission and deployment. Could just be me but I didn't get the setup of your second battle at all.

I think that second battle was a house rules setup. Salamanders were surrounded by Orks, but were specialists- so the Orks get to basically start the game outflanking the Salamanders on the board, but the Saly's get to reroll wounds.
