I have dark eldar beastmasters and 10 khymerae converted from dire wolves... are they worth running?

Depends from the list. Usually they are kept in reserve and enter through a WWP. People normally play khymerae + flocks.

Kyms and Flocks seem to be the best mix. Several people have had success running them without a WWP (including myself), if your taking the Baron (For the +1 to go first) he'll give the unit stealth while they move up, if you want to loose the 12" charge range he can stay attached and also give them offensive and defensive grenades.
I've run 4 flocks with between 5-15 kyms... Usually they can chew through almost any infantry target, sometimes 2+ units at once, depending on the opponent. The flocks also do well against vehicles but have problems with walkers.
The amount of attacks they can generate is slighty insane. Dashofpepper has had great success with his beast unit, maybe you should check out some of his bat'reps.

Yes. Beastmasters are an extremely strong assault unit, and have a high number of wounds to boot.

They have surprised a good number of opponents, to include some Death Stars. They themselves are not a Death Star Unit, but they can hold up one for a while until good help arrives or tie them up while you deal with the rest of the army.

don't forget Baron also gives them offensive and defensive grenades, which is very very important.
