Hey all, after reading Helsreach I've been inspired to re-paint my Emperors Champion model, the Limited Edition one which my dad managed to get for about £10 on eBay. While I was proud of the paintjob when I originally painted it, I feel I could do better and how he lies in his components, completly stripped of paint. Seeing as it's a very rare model I really want to go all out on this, and while looking through the Dakka Gallery I can see several images of Emperors Champions, but none of the special edition one. Does anyone out there have any photos of their one, some inspiration, particularly on what to base him on, would be great.

Thanks,

Valkyrie

Umm, what limited edition EC mini? Are you referring to one of the old Noise Marine models?

Try extreme edge highlighting. You do the regular edge highlights you'd do for any other model, but at the very highest points (corners where two edges meet, etc) do a smaller highlights of an even lighter color. So highlight your black up to Codex Grey then up again to Fortress Grey. Also, painting the helmet white like in the model you posted would be very, very cool.
