I was wondering if anybody knew of an easy way to convert or perhaps suggest a 3rd party mini to use as DCA's looking at the GW website 2 models cost about 11$ which makes units quite pricy. I wanted to field at least one unit for my inquisitional force and any advice would be appreciated.

Dark Eldat Wyches seem to be the popular choice.

An odd suggestion I have seen done around here is Striking scorpions with Pig Iron heads, and of course a different paint scheme.

Do you mean Banshees? Scorpions look totally inappropriate.

The DE wyches sound like a great start, not really into the idea of using anything eldar as they look way to distinct to pass off as anything imperial plus they are made of metal/resin which would make conversion work very difficult.

As for the Wych idea, does anybody have any examples? My first idea would be to change the knives to longer sword like blades and cut off all pistols/ranged weapons. But what modifications could be made to the body/head to make them look less like elves?

Well DCA often come from barbaric worlds so you could use marauders with two hand weapons

I did this off a plastic guardsman, little head swap, and a catachan backpack for a deathcult assassin. If it helps you out at all. It is the guy on the left.

The new Scourge look great and have a great lithe feel. You just need to conjure up some DE close combat weapons and make sure NOT to use the wings.

I'm using cadians as my henchmen with GK bitz for conversions. You can see my DCA here:

Thanks for the pics, the guardsmen bodies work however it doesn't really fit the look im thinking of, I'm still thinking of using DE wyches, I think I can modify the weapons to represent swords however its the heads that I'm getting caught up on besides greenstuff are there any bits sites that sell ninjaish heads or bits?

Maybe you can find a....mummy?

The Anima Tactics line has some ninja-esque characters but that gets expensive really fast. Reaper should have a couple too.

I use these guys. There not technically to scale but im doing all of my henchmen in LOTR size models. It never made much sense to me that the astartes are giants that tower over everyone but the normal ig guy is the same size.

You could get the wood elf heads, the ones that are in cloaks.
