I primed my Berzerkers black and want to switch to grey. Do I need to strip them or can I use grey primer over it? I'm not sure if it will kill the detail.

you can strip them with simple green. Great stuff works pretty fast too. Filll a glass or bowl with simple green let model stand for 30 mins, then take an old tooth brush to it. As far as re base coating them, you will take a big risk in losing a lot of the detail parts and having your model look clumpy and messy.
Hope that helps.

Why not just use a suitable foundation paint/paints?
Would save having to strip the models

I saw a World Eaters scheme I liked and am trying it. It calls for grey primer to work with the various of coatings/combinations of red. Each layer of paint applied is mixed 1-1 to with water. It turns out good with the grey but doesn't look right with the black. I don't know enough about painting to understand the why.
