I like the amour plates but my only advice is that it looks like his blades are unfinished, so maybe apply a wash a least?

10/10 for my vote I love the chips on the blades makes him look like a real killer and head taker almost makes me wanna play nids

Looks good. If I could make a suggestion, try hitting the scales with 2 light coats or Gryphon sephia wash. It will blend the colors nicely. If you want darker you could try devlin mud. Just remember to use a light coating like glazing.

The shell is brilliant mate. Looks a lot like moth wing patterns. Love it.

I really like the armor, that is something much more real looking for bugs than I've seen in most nids.

I've seen this layered carapace done before (actually almost the same colorscheme now that I think about it) and it looks wonderful. Nice one.

That earthy, brown carapace looks totally boss. I agree with the second post that the blades could use some shading, but other than that this guy looks ready to go!

This is not a model, it is clearly some small critter you found, that happens to look like a tyrnaid, and you got it to stand still and take its picture!!!

The armor plates look that good. I would aspire to make my bugs look that good....it LOOKS like a bug.
