All right the thing is that my friend wants to get a daemon army

he told me this "i want to start a new chaos army, no marines just daemons, which chaos god should i use"

i have no idea how well daemons work, and i want to know what i should tell him?

what he wants out of it is...

he wants to use fate-weaver but doesnt want pink horrors

he wants a one god list or at least no two gods that clash e.g. Khorne and Slaanesh or Tzeentch and Nurgle

thats all the info he gave me so if anyone knows anything good or bad, please leave a comment

This isnt the sub forum for this

Well if you want monogod, and want fateweaver you have no choice - you must use horrors.

You could go tzeentch and slaanesh, maybe

When the enquiry is this broad or general, methinks this board will do fine for now.

There's a few tacticas around on the site, battle reports etc etc, have a nosy around and see what leaps out

Yes, please. Fateweaver, Bloodcrushers, Daemon Princes, Plague Bearers provide the core of a decent Daemon army.

First let me say this isn't from experience, just stuff I have learnt when looking to start my own daemon army. Saves you some searching

I think the general consensus was that the best mono-god list is Tzeentch, but without the pink horrors.. no can do. Horrors are pretty good. Plaguebearers are a great troops choice too, but I'm not so sure about the rest of the Nurgle army.

Dual god lists, I think Slaanesh/Tzeentch works well enough, but again only if you take some horrors. I dunno, perhaps you can make it with daemonettes, but I haven't heard much good about them. Fiends of Slaanesh are good elites choices though, and I love the Keeper (looks and lore) despite his cost.

Basically, mono or duo lists are hard to make. I myself went with Slaanesh/Tzeentch.

Yeah, going mono-god is gonna be hard. You're going to have to go with 2 at least. Slaanesh/Tzeentch or Nurgle/Khorne for the two groups that don't really HATE each other. Well, I'm not sure how Nurgle feels about Slaanesh, but Tzeentch and Nurgle hate each other, Slaanesh and Khorne hate each other, and Khorne hates sorcery, but hates Slaanesh more. So...Tzeentch/Slaanesh; Slaanesh/Nurgle; Khorne/Nurgle are probably your options for dual-gods, no animosity. Flamers are awesome, fiends are awesome, people swear by Tzeentch princes (I disagree), horrors are decent, Keepers of Secrets and Fateweaver rock...I'd go with that mixup.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
