I was looking into maybe buying a folding bike. But I was wondering if anyone here has actually used one and if so how well they worked? Also wondering which one I should go with?

I work in a bike shop. Only buy a folder if storage or commuting is the prime reason.
They have a lot of parts that can go wrong. Only buy a decent brand, like Brompton, Dahon or Mezzo (as you're Walmart Special will crap out in a couple of months). Even the bottom of the range from a good brand is still a pretty good bike.
Definitely DO NOT buy a normal sized bike that folds up. They are all crap!

All praise the Omnissiah!

Most folding bikes are complete crap, are near useless, and take up more space than they save.

You're better off just getting a decent commuter bike.

I had a friend who had one.
He complained about it constantly.
