I was at my local GW today with my friend, who is new to 40k, and he was getting a CSM box. While he is doing this I am talking to the employee, and I bring up the rumors about the supected release of a new Chaos Legions codex early next year. The employee then tells me that he wouldn't be suprised this would happen, and that he knows a Chaos Legions book was in the works. I asked him how he knew, and he told me that a few years ago, he was at a gamesday and had the opporitunity to have a drink with Jervis Johnson, (who works with GW as a long time startegy-manager and writes the Standard Bearer article in WD), and he asked him what GW was working on. Jervis said that there was a Chaos Legions book in the works. It has been several years (2 if I remember correctly) since the employee had this conversation with Johnson. So it would make sense if the book were to release soon, and this somewhat confirms (at least for me) that there is a Chaos Legions book in the works. I have no more information than this though.

Thoughts, everyone? Or am I just reinforcinhg what everyone has already been saying?

Old, old discussion that one. Not exactly a new confirmation, its where the idea of Chaos Legions came from...

Wow. That is insane. GW plans codicies years in advance? And they still come out like the long strand of poop called Grey Knights?
See, I always thought that codicies were kinda randomly picked based on market info and that the authors had ~2-5 months to do the whole thing before publishing and printing.
(Yes, after reading some of Ward's stuff, one realizes that there is no editing in GW)
Now, what's more important is, WHO is writting the codex? I'm less than impressed with the current Dark Angels codex but considering the option(s) out there, I wouldn't really mind at all.
