This is my third mini now and it was a challenge. Trying to push the highlights and lining the armor is still a work in progress. Havent gotten the layering right yet but I am working on it. Opinions needed!!!

The cape looks like it could use a wash and the base needs to be finished, but otherwise it looks good.

It's well painted but kind of curious that he has a Blood Angels icon on his banner when he's probably an Ultramarine. You've got to do something with the base, but it's an admirable paintjob.

That's because deep down every ultrasmurf wishes he was as awesome as the Sons of Sanguinus.

From the front it looks phenomenal, but in the last picture of the right side it just looks...flat.
I dunno what to do, maybe highlight the reds with vomit brown and wash.

It looks really neat, except for the BA banner

Just out of curiosity what type of blue were you using for the armor?

"They shall be My Hammer, the sword in My hand, the gauntlet about My fist, the bane of My foes and woes of the treacherous. When no others may stand beside them, they shall fight. Only the greatest shall enter their ranks, for unto them do I entrust stewardship over the Gates of Hell."

Very crisp details - I would agree with coolyo, that the cloak would benefit from a wash to get a bit more definition.

As always, enjoy and have fun!

Thanks for the critiques guys. Red for me is such a tough color. I first used the Andrea red set but not near enough transition. Then used GW colors. I'll keep plugging away at it!
