Hi,

So I have been relatively quiet on the posting front recently. This is mainly because I have been enjoying the sunshine but of late I have been holed up at my painting desk, trying to work on some weak areas of my skills.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

With this model, I bought the Finecast version and I must admit, it did make painting a lot more enjoyable purely from not having to hold a lump of metal for 4-5 hrs at a time.

The level of detail was astonishing and I really enjoyed taking my time and looking at each bit of detail for what it was.

The highlights were generally achieved by gradually working up from the base colour and adding bleached bone. Then for the line highlight, I add a 'large' amount of Skull White.

Please feel free to post questions and/or comments below.

Peace.

I'm not a huge fan of the white on the base, and I don't like how the tabbard flows into it. I like the tabbard otherwise, the base just detracts from it a little. Those metallics are tasty though.

Very nice, but room to improve.

I normally stick to about three layers, depending on the surface, and blend them more rether than layer. That would look nicer.

I think you could have gone easier on the line highlights on the gun holster, use a thinner brush for that.

I think the white goes a bit too far onto the purity seal ribbons.

I love the flesh though, and the fur. Although his eye's look rather dark.

I really do like the finecast models aswell. Them and the forgeworld models are by far my favorite pieces to paint. Only thing I would do, I'd paint the rest of the base white, to match the top. Call my odd, a model doesn't look right of the top of the base is done but not the sides.

I think that the tabard is too white. I love the bird, I love the cloak.

Personally, I also like the snowy/grassy ground. Good job.
