I've been playing a bit with the standard pSorcha battlebox 15 point list:

Sorcha
Destroyer
Juggernaught
Widowmakers

I'm now looking at expanding. I was adding winterguard when I discovered getting Kovnik Joe for free in a tier list. I was looking at this originally:

Sorcha
Destroyer
Juggernaught
Kovnik Joe
Winterguardx6
UA Officer/Standard
2xrocketeer
Mortar
Mortar

I then realized I could hit tier 3 pretty easily by dropping Rocketeers for:

Sorcha
Beast 09
Juggernaught
Kovnik Joe
Winterguardx6
UA Officer/Standard
Mortar
Mortar

I wasn't planning on adding Beast until 35points (mostly for painting time really), but I'm now really interested. Is it worth dropping the rocketeers in a 25 point game for Beast 09, and +1 to the deployment roll? It seems like the rocketeers make the winterguard alot more dangerous, and a destroyer along with mortars can kill alot of stuff...

I should also add that my 35 point plans are:

(I've considered adding a beserker, but it does seem worth tier four to hang 3 warjacks on sorcha)

At this point that really means that I'm looking at order of purchases to get to 25 and 35 points more then anything.

Look into getting the great bears, or a unit of doom reavers+UA. Getting those within charge range of the enemy warcaster and using Sorscha's feat usually means you just won. It is an incredibly assassination vector that can survive some opposition from your opponent.

That is funny your start was the exact same as mine. If you want a nice addition to it (and a very easy and nasty unit with pSorscha) get a Dessimator, boost to hit with the rip saw and spend rest of focus on more attacks, the sustained attacks just let you chew through the casters. I haven't played many games but in a short few weeks i've gotten 67 points (mostly second hand but hehehe) try the dessimator with boundless charge, it will not dissapoint

Beast would be a much better investment than the Decimator. He does more and hits harder all around.

Beast 09 is amazing, and has a ton of synergy with Sorcha.

you want Rocketeers and a full WGI they are not as good without them. for the 25pt list, i would drop 1 mortar, grab the additional WG and the Dog. never underestimate the War Dog. he is Amazing. using mortars help with staying away from as many Jacks. Beast 09 is Arguably the best one of our jacks in the Faction. Sorscha just makes him better. i think you would get more bang if you go full WG DS in your 25pt list. you could also consider a 3rd Rocketeer over the dog. it could help make up for the loss of the mortar. remember this one factor. don't take advantage of Advance Deploy on the Widowmakers. every time i put them out front they get wasted within the first 2 turns. the couple times i have placed them in my ranks or an inch or 2 ahead of my ranks they survive and do their job well.
