Can any unit have an icon to summon daemons or just certain ones? Do you have to roll for each daemon squad being summoned or just once for all of them? Can you summon multiple squads with just one guy with an icon or can you only summon a squad of daemons per unit? I was thinking for fun to get 500 points of bikers with icons, mark of Nurgle and one aspiring champion, and get them to enemy as fast as possible and summon 1400 points of lesser daemons(107 daemons). And sacrifice the Aspiring champion to get a great daemon. I think it would be really funny.

You still need a HQ + 2 troops to be legal though

Each squad of Lesser Daemons are separate, so need to be rolled for separately each tern.
Most squads can either take an Icon (Icon of Slaanesh, Khorne, Chaos glory etc) or for squads like Bezerkers they can have a personal Icon.
Your lesser Daemon squad (well just the first marker model actually) can be places within 6" of any CSM icon that was on the board before the turn started (i.e, if you also had deep striking terminators, who came on same turn as Lesser Daemons, you can't DS the terminators, and then place the daemons within 6" of an icon they have...)

Lots of Lesser Daemons would be fun, but not effective. They don't have any of the advantages of the Daemons codex daemons (no fleet, rending, power weapons, furious charge etc) can only glance tanks to death, which is by no means reliable and are easy to kill. But it would be fun...

That's and old school tactic called "Damon bomb." It used to be the way to play Word Bearers. It worked then, it doesn't work now. Doesn't mean you shouldn't play it though. Daemon bomb is always hilarious.
