This one has been driving us mad in our casual games. We've yet to play with anyone outside our circle of friends so we are just not sure how to handle Eldar Heavy Weapon Platform.

We can't figure out if it's handled as an artilerry as according to the rulebook: Able to shoot at targets other than what the Guardians fire at, causes the unit to be unable to run, has an AV value and 2 crew that if killed will leave the weapon useless, or if it is similar to my Imperial Guard Missile Launcher; just a heavy weapon that can move and fire and can be protected by removing all other units in the squad first.

I'm sure the answer is spelled out somewhere but I just can't find it!

It's not, as far as i recall.

Its more like a little drifting Assault heavy-weapon that takes up no space in transports and is unshootable.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

It is treated as an assualt weapon and for every other purpose you assume that it's actually not there and one of the crewman is actually carrying the weapon.

Iranna.

It's the HEAVY SUPPORT platforms that are artillery units (D-cannon, Vibrocannon and Shadow Weaver).

The normal smaller one that are attached to guardian squads are not artillery models. They just allow the heavy weapon on it to fire as an assault weapon instead.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
