Devastating Dark Reaper

I'm starting up a vampire counts army and I have a few questions.
1)Is it better to run a cc lord or a magic lord?
2)How many vampire heros is a good number for 2000pts?
3)Are any of the other heros any good?

1) Personal preference really.
2) Depends on your choice of Lord (CC or Magic). If CC, then you will want a Vampire for Magic support. If Magic, then you could possibly go without another Vampire (though you would need at least one other unit with the Vampire rule in your army, for example the Black Coach).
3) If you want to take a Battle Standard Bearer with a Magic Banner (usually Drakenhoff Banner for a deathstar build) then Wight King is good as he is fairly survivable without Magic Items. Necromancers are useful if you really want to have Van Hel's Dance Macabre and don't have a Forbidden Lore (Vampires) caster. White Dwarf rules Cairn Wraiths and Banshees are absolutely amazing. Definately experiment with them!

Varghulf, Terrorgheist and Black Coach are all great choices in my opinion. Try them out to see which you like best (possibly using proxy models so you won't have to buy a model you will later discover doesn't fit your playstyle).

I've already bought the terrorgheist more because it's an amazing kit rather than the in game effect ( which I think is good anyway). But I will try the proxys and see which i like.
