Im thinking about starting them as an army, but have some questions of wich I expect that YOU know the answer

-Im thinking about buying Grey Knights and 'normal' Space Marines and swap some compenents between them. Good idea? I really cant use green stuff, Im to noob for that, so I think that this should solve the problem.

-What rules should I use for them?

-What vehicles do they use?



And yes, I know they only stay n Holy Terra.

I know someone IRL who made a Custodes army using a Paladinwing list. It looks damn cool.

The Custodes doesn't wear power armor, and when they did "Modern" power armor wasn't around nor was the Ageis armor that the GK wear around.

IMO the best way to do this would be with the Forge World MkIII Iron Armor, the chest from the GW Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard kit and some green stuffed cloaks and capes. Basically your trying to give your models more of a greek/roman feal.

To avoid the fluff people, its also good to say the army your building is a preheresy custodes army. Before the emperor beloved by all was placed in the golden throne, the custodes had similar or better gear then the marines and went off world to deal with issues all the time.

My custodes army is built using Scribor minis as they are the closest you can find to what they should look like without doing boat loads of work. The minis are also bigger then a space marine which also falls in line with the fluff
