Whats up guys?

Myself and some friends have recently started a club in our area of Adelaide, Australia, and we decided to hit up White Dwarf to get a spot in the 'find a game' section of the catalo- sorry I mean 'magazine'.

I sent off the email in mid July in the hope of potentially recruiting a few new members in the area. I received no response... UNTIL TODAY! :O /dramatic overture

The response was a cheerful request of what times we meet up. This was all.

Now, I'm not one for bashing WD, even if its quality has declined exponentially since I first entered the hobby, but HOT DAMN! That is ridiculous! 3 and a half months of literally thinking I had been wiped off.

I know I really shouldn't expect anything more than this but still...
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Did you not realise the minimum 3 MONTH LEAD TIME they need to get it into the magazine?

I'm serious. If we want to have our club tourneys listed (it's in late April/early May) in the April edition, we need to notify them in writing (email) by no later than mid January.

Yep, GW Oz can be remarkably slack about stuff. There are clubs still listed in NSW that no longer run.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Heh... back on the late '90s, it took them more than 6 months to remove me from the independent stockists list after I closed up shop.
