So i posted one up earlier but it was wonky and i erked it a bit. so my main oponents are my borthers, one is an ultrmarines player and he is a terrible tactician but he has termies and a few mechs and the other is an IG player who more or less runs a gunline up to 1000ish points. also the lord commissar is there for fluffy reasons and i like him.

thoughts? im open to suggestions, so please leave a few

Not an IG player, so some of this advice might not be correct.

Your command squad seems pretty expensive, and then add in a Lord Commissar who is there because you like the model and fluff makes your HQ second pretty expensive for Guard. I'm not exactly sure what Creed does to be honest, but he better be worth his points in a gunline list to justify him being there.

Storm Troopers, they deep strike don't they? Could be useful, but pretty expensive but them along with the two Vet squads seem a little out of place (well at least the melta squad) when I posted a IG list on here before, trying to make a Mech/Blob hybrid I was told that mixing the styles doesn't work and I think thats kind of what your doing here, although having a couple of squads doing something different might be a good thing.

Do you need a squad with 4 flamers?
Lots of vox casters, which are useful but eat up 5 points each which all adds up.
I like AC HW teams, if anything you need more of these.
Vendetta is presumably for Melta vets, probably need an actual Gaurd player to tell you wether thats a good idea or not, but its not what I would go for.

You then have a really expensive LR all on its own, that and the vendetta (but probably the Leman russ first, if your vendetta has turbo boosted) is going to be the first target to long range anti-tank, and while AV14 is tough, any glancing hit is enough to hurt it (Can't shoot, puts it out of action next turn, not an ideal result but essentially means your opponent can then focus on other more pressing targets)

My advice would be to either go all out mech, or all out gun line. For the price of that LR, you could have 3 Hydras, thats 3 extra targets which I think is what IG do best. Kill points can be a pain, but having as many units/tanks on the board as possible is key for IG. More HW teams are needed.

For the HQ I'd recommend losing the Lord Commissar, medic and vox on the command squad. Use the points to buy Sgt.Kell (gives Ld 10 on orders from Creed so no need for Lord Commissar leadership aura for HWS)

Use the extra 70 points on giving the infantry squads heavy weapons (autocannon/lascannons are a good choice) Also get rid of the powerfist on the platoon commander. Footslogging with 4 flamers means often enough, he won't be around long enough to swing that fist!

so i basically tooled this army to deal with my little brothers ultra marines and my older brother's IG gun line, so the plasma tank is meant to be a high value target, for my little brother its something shiny to shoot at while my gunline runs up.
i am using creed for the 4 orders, and the vox casters are my paraniod safty net. i was actually thinking about dropping the medic for Kell, and a few odds and ends.

vox's are my tactical saftey net for orders and yes replacing the comissar for Kell would solve the LD bubble issue. ill work on it
