Yup, I attended a Remembrance Service today, planted a cross and will be attending a Remembrance parade on Sunday.

Was walking around walmart with a friend who is in ROTC. Well meaning good folks thanked him for his service. He says he feels uncomfortable because they say "for your service" and he's only ever been to school, I tell him it's a placeholder for once he does...or when he starts wearing jeans and everyone thinks a high and tight and a clean shave is a fashion statement.

Yeah, my dad being a leatherneck who served in Gulf I, and living in a city with a Navy base, I am often surrounded by servicemen and women whom i appreciate for their continued service to us civilians...

a few months ago I was in my local bookstore to pick up the latest GG omnibus and found there was a sailor looking for the same book...it was the last one so I just handed it over...it was the least I could do...

Yep. My grandfather was in the Army, can't help but to remember him especially on Veteran's Day. A big thank you to all servicemen, perhaps one day I may have the honor of joining you in service.
