Hey guys I am just getting into 40K (Tau!!!) and I was wondering if there was anyone around Erie, Harbor Creek, North East PA are who plays? Also I have heard Gateway Games in Erie. But I have found almost nothing on them so I don't know if they are even still open. Anyone know? Can I find anyone/anything nearby or am I best off to try and recruit some other college kids?

There are definitely a lot players in Erie. The original 40K Radio crew are from Erie and used to broadcast from there, but that's a sad tale for another day.

I recommend checking out the local game stores. There are 3 I believe: Phoenix Games, Gateway Games and Castle Archon.

We have a lot of Erie gamers taking the drive to play at Legions in pittsburgh. One of the biggest stores probably in the country for gaming! Always people around on fridays to play and the owner oversee any of the gaming so you can play how you want to play

Hmmmm found Castle Archon online to check their relevancy but nothing on Phoenix games... Anyone who plays in Erie?

Ok to help anyone else out who ever is looking for a place in or around Erie, Harbor Creek or North East PA. Castle Archon and Phoenix Games are dead. The only two places are Games Corp (which is on Buffalo road in Erie) and Gateway Games. Gateway games has more minis and Games Corp has more cards. I will check into both of them when I am back at school.

I play at Gateway. We have a fairly decent crew. 40K tournaments are the third saturday of the month, apoc games are the fourth saturday. Thursday night is alot of pickup games.

Yes finally some signs of life in the Erie area! Gateway this Thursday (maybe) it is!

The competition at gateway was pretty dead when i went there no one really outstanding from what I saw. Then again I play mostly fantasy since in a tournament scene you see alot more diversity.Legions in pittsburgh is where you want to go on Friday and saturday nights. Friday especially since they stay open till 2am! Red cup gaming club ftw.

Well if I wasn't in college (therefore no cash) I would prob try and make it down there. Gateway has almost no Fantasy, but they have several 40k players, Dystopian Wars, and some FoW, Malifaux and DUST. Really the big day for them is Saturday. I'm mainly just posting this up for anyone else in the area. I go there at least once a week, typically Thursday nights, and am always open for a game
