Devestating Grey Knight Dreadknight

Apologies for some blurry pictures. First time for me writing battle reports so please bear with me. Advice welcomed on how to make it look better.

Game is 2 vs 2 with 1500 points for each player. 3000 each side combined. Necorns + CSM won the roll off and game was secure ground with dawn of war deployment.

over view of necrons + CSM 1st turn deployment. 2 objectives in north part of map with 1 in ruins in the south part of the map

‎1st turn psycannon purifiers look on from their razorback at the enemy deployment

tan colored necron destroyers chillax on top of the mountain looking for something to kill

chaos/necron deployment area. Defiler scans for a target during the night fighting but fail to spot the dark eldar through nightfields

Chaos forces make room for necron destroyers to get into position. Nurgle marines make preperations to poison all the salt shakers thus destroying the planet. (or ruin some meals, w/e happens first I guess)

gk turn 1, all move on board. Razorback with hammer purifiers pop smoke. Necrons look on impassively from their mountain in the background. Kharn's surfboard gets ready to charge into action

storm raven moves onboard 12' and starts the epic failure of hitting anything with twin linked lazcannons. The machine curse was strong today. (need to yell the tech rituals louder I guess)

Crowe steals a ride from the purifiers who move into position in building to hold objective and use windows to toss out some psybolts. Dreadnaught will move up onto the ruins as well but forgets to claim full view and deny cover saves from ...some tanks. Targeting systems are all on the fritz lately. Hammer purifier razorback told to GTFO by dark eldar ravager shortly after this pic and does nothing useful other than eating battle cannon pie plate shortly later

DE prepare to unload a torrent of missle death by turn 2 into a pile of necrons

pie plate of doom onto necron destroyers and warriors kills all of them with no RP possible via poisoned missles. Who knew it'd work so well on living metal???!

Dark Eldar transport goes behind mountain and carves their way through the necrons in the area. They manage to open the warp gate in the back and the DE launch a large multi-assault into the necron HQ. CSM look on to join in the melee shortly

On the other side of the board, Interceptors that were in the storm raven ran in and all were shot to death buying time for the surviving razorback to finally make it close enough for the grey knight purifiers to make it into combat to chop up some immortals but to their dismay, almost all of them get back up again. Cleansing flame just scrapes off a few layers of paint apparently. Immortals fail combant but rolls double 1's to stay locked in!

laz cannons on the immobile storm raven fail yet again to do anything to the enemy rhinos. Grey knights fall over with disappointment while Kharn and company move into cover.

dreadnaught takes aim at kharn and company...

another epic moment as 3 darklances and twin liked laz cannons all miss/fail to do anything to the vindicator, side armor, front armor, w/e armor (more like invincible armor). Necrons in middle get into assault with DE. Kharn looses last man in squad and bleeding from a few wounds but the pain just fuels his bloodlust. GK move out of LOS to hold the salt shaker with DE moving up to control middle objective. Warp gate allows DE reserve forces to corner the fleeing necrons and CSM.

blurry moment as the grey knight camera man flees back after the Chaos las cannon squad finally kill off the razorback contesting the objective. Immortals regroup. Purifiers all die to combined might of nurgle marines and immortals. Cleansing flame does take about 7-8 models with them. 5 vs 25! poor sods never had a chance. CSM consolidates back into the building with the salt shaker.

kharn moves into position to carve crowe into small bird food pellets. Dark eldar incubi mop up necrons in assault up north. Middle group of immortals are beaten in combat by crowe and Dark eldar in combined assault and sweeping advances catches the slow necrons easily to wipe them from the board.

While the Dark eldar put their transported troops on the objective while the vindicator having somehow survived everything the GK had as well as multiple dark lance shots with just a shaken and can't shoot, decides to tank shock into them. It moves the skimmer out of position and the CSM with the laz cannons take advantage of the movement to shoot the now exposed transport. The ride is wrecked with infantry spilling on the ground and the defiler takes the advantage to pie plate them to death. It kills many dark eldar but they roll a 9 and pass their morale to stay within range of the objective. The vindicator is also finally exploded on the next turn unfortunately killing some more of the dark eldar who ultimately survive with just 3 elves to hold the objective.

The defiler is also exploded on the next turn killing some nurgle marines in the building behind it. (hardly any wrecks here )

Having nothing better to do, it's time to seize the moral objective. crowe vs kharn!

Kharn chops gorechild into crowe's chest but with his last ounce of strengh, crowe stabs Kharn through the face with his demon sword via heroic sacrifice. The sword drank deep of Kharn's blood and opens a warp rift that sucks both dying men into the warp! Kharn's immunity to psychic powers fail to stop a sharp piece of demon bone shoved in his visor.

The game ends with DE+GK with 2 objectives vs 1 objective by necrons+ CSM.

Hope it was fun reading. Please let me know how to improve these reports. First one posted here

Nice fluffy write up. Just post the army lists and edit the captions to state what Turns are with which pics and you're golden.
