played in our annual foodmachine event. for those who dont know foodmachine its a variant system that allows you to spend cans to cheat dice rolls. all the cans go to charity. we had a 3 round team MM event. each player brought one 15 pt MM/TnC list. my team member and me always bring the same casters:

round 1.

faced skorne (pMorghoul, brute, sentry and gladiator) and khador (pVlad, Big B and Marauder)

highlights: eSkarre feat turn early nets us the gladiator with no recourse due to all of their threats in range being hit by the feat. sentry charged nightmare but didnt have the distance. marauder one shots a ripjaw. pMorghoul dies to pDenny in combat, DJ eats pVlad who had BoK going.

round 2.

faced trolls (pDoomy, EBDT and mulg) with more TROLLS! (Borka, mauler, bouncer and winter troll)

highlights: hey bricked for 4 rounds while we surrounded them. bump on all the big hitters made a direct assaulty difficult. round 5 a lane to pDoomy is left open for our stalker. a freestrike from the bouncer is negated through a few cans and the stalker kills pDoomy. somehow (cans) the stalker survives the round and eats borka the next round.

round 3.

faced circle (pKaya, argus x2 WW and gorax) and retribution (Kaylessa, pheonix and hydra??) had 709 cans going into this one

highlights:early losses to us, eSkarres' ripjaw got messed up and one of mine did as well. pDenny gave Dj ghostly then eSkarre perditioned him into charge range of pKaya with one fury. end of the turn pKaya is dead. Ret player charges DJ with hydra and kaylessa, killing it. pDenny scourges the hudra under her feat, knocking both it and kaylessa down. eSkarre ends her personally.

spent like 450 cans that game!

we go 3-0 with the trophy and loads of cans for charity. looking forward to next year!

Sounds like a great time! I hope your opponents likewise had a plentiful amount of cans to tweak their situations, otherwise it's even more of an uphill struggle against those two casters!

Our store just did their foodmachine tournament today too

I came out 2 and 0, winning by like 3 points... It was also our random caster tournament

Round 1 was with Grissel, and Round 2 was with pButcher

A blast had by all

our time had the most cans.....er i mean was the most charitable.

all the teams had a decent amount of cans, i think we dwarfed all teams by at least 400 cans.

It was very similar at my store... The store owner puts on a food drive every year, where the various games compete against each other. Sadly, because of the sheer number of people that play it, the Pokemon TCG was winning this year with 500+ cans, Warmhordes brought in 428 (spread out over 6 people rather than like 20+ with the Pokemon players).


But its all to a good cause
