I'm moving back to Houston and looking for the bigger crowds for mini gaming. I currently have a BT army and Cygnar army also looking to start Infinity or Malifaux. What are the games a majority of people are playing and where? I live in Humble if that helps at all. Thanks in advance.

I live in Huntsville and visited here Friday night... the tables looked good but there were only two people playing, both high school aged (not discriminating, just informing... they were setting up against each other when I got there)

Hi
I'm going to be in Houston for a month or so on business and I'd love the opportunity to get some games in. Are there any tournaments coming up in March?

There're some small local tournaments at different game stores, the only one that comes to mind is the monthly tournament at Fat Ogre games in the Woodlands, I'll have to ask around.

@The Crippler: I suggest you temporarily join the Facebook Houston 40K group and post your availability, I am sure people will come to a store and play. Do you know which area of Houston you will be in?

Thanks for the replies guys!

Leohart - I'll check out that Facebook group. I'm not really familiar with Houston but I'm told it's 'downtown'? That probably doesn't mean anything. I'll check back and get a real answer.

Downtown Houston means you have access to almost every store in equal distance. Your closest store will be Asgard Games.

Just a head up, I will be hosting a Warhammer 40k Escalation League at Swords & Superheroes in Kingwood on Saturday March the 3rd. It will run for about 3 months and will be ran on almost every Saturday. If you need more information check out the event section or shoot me a email at winstonj1s@hotmail.com. I live in the Woodlands/Spring area so if anyone from there is interested hit me up and we can carpool; (no one under 17yr old).

So, I ended up at a different building for work and I'm now actually staying very close to where the Katy and Sam Houston freeways intersect. So, not downtown at all. There does seem to be a GW close by on Westheimer. Any good, or best to avoid? Anyway, with those new coordinates in mind, if anyone can tell me of any good gaming stores in the area, I'd love to stop in and visit, even if just to hang out a bit and watch. Always fun to see what a different gaming scene looks like.

You're near Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Fwy) and I-10 ( Katy Fwy ), which means you're in West Houston and you have a lot of options.

I am in Galveston, and I am willing to drive up into Houston for a game, just PM me.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

They have 2 or 3 wargaming tables with terrain and 3 times that in card tables for card games and board games. Decent selection of board games, GW stuff, and CCGs (mainly magic the Gathering). I think Thursday nights are their WH 40k nights.
