I've been reading up on the rules for ordinance barrage weapons before i decide to get a manticore. I just wanted to make sure that i interpreted them correctly.

Unless your target is in area terrain there is no way for them to get a cover save?

Cover for barrage weapons is determined from the center of the blast marker. So they can still get a cover save, it's just not as likely.

Can you give me a situation when that would happen?

If a unit is on one side of a wall, and the center of the blast marker ends up on the opposite side of the wall, the unit gets a cover save.

Also If two enemy units are next to each other, say Unit A and Unit B, and the blast marker lands on the far side of unit A, If unit B has any guys under the marker they would receive a cover save since cover is determined from the center of the blast marker and the sight line passes through Unit A.

I you dropped it between two units and it's a hit then neither unit gets a cover save.

Except, you have to target a model. The only way for it to land between to units would be on a scatter.
