Hey guys
This might be a big of a stupid question to ask, but none the less i have to ask it.
Do land raiders come as Heavy Support or Dedicated transport when i bring 5 termies? if its transport, can i take 3 heavy support choices too?
Thanks

Depends on the codex. BA codex has Land Raiders as a Dedicated Transport option and I think vanilla SM too. GK have it for Heavy Support, so they can put Terminators inside them, but it takes up a Heavy Support slot rather than no slot in the case of a Dedicated Transport.

Land Raiders are also dedicated transport for Chaos Termies, just in case you're asking for a chaos army.

But for vanilla only one squad may have it as a dedicated transport allowing you to actually have 4 in a list.

Well, n0t_u, there's a way around that. LR variants don't count towards the limit. So you can have one termi squad in a godhammer, one in a redeemer and one in a crusader and still not use any heavy slots.

Black Templars can take LR Crusaders as dedicated transports for most of their units without limitations.

This is incorrect. The entry states quite clearly that only one regular termie squad can purchase a Land Raider of any variant as a DT, and the assault termie entry states the same thing. For vanilla marines, you can theoretically bring a maximum of five Land Raiders.

C:SM lists them as Dedicated Transports, as does Codex:BA and C: BT, the latter as the LRC/LRR variant. I am not sure about C: DA

C:SW lets one and only one Wolf Guard pack take one LR of any variety as a DT, along with up to 3 as HS choices.

Remember, if you want something other than Termies/Wolfguard in them at the beginning of the game, take LR as Heavy, not DT.

And at the other end of the spectrum, Blood Angels can only take them as dedicated transports.

Wherever the Emperor commands.

If i read the rules right a SM army could have 5 Land raiders
1 for Terinator squad
1 for ASSAULT Terminator squad
and 3 as HS
in the SM book it has the entry for both Terminator squads
but the Assault terminator entry spicificly says Assault terminators
but i would never take 5 LR (mabey in Apaco)
(just read that someone else coverd this in this thread)
